My soundbar is less than 3 1/2 inches. Will it go smaller?

BEST ANSWER: The bracket won't, but just added a spacer and it will work fine. I got some material from my local ACE hardware store with one side being sticky and it solved the problem.

I'm in the same boat but the bracket won't go any small than about 3.6 inches. It's still the smallest one I've found.

can this hold the soundbar in place in a rv which will be moving from place to place?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, thank you for your inquiry. It can work in an RV that moves from place to place, however, you have you consider the weight of your soundbar, quality of installation, and adding some anti-slip features like rubber padding or straps.

you would have to use something like velcro or double sided tape, the soundbar is only held in place by it's own weight pushing down on the mount.
this mount is not spring loaded so you set the depth once with a set screw.

i would recommend using a strip of velcro to hold it in place while the rv is moving, and simply remove it when stationary
